Introducing Qingqing Zhang
The Picture is taken at Arches in 2012.
My name is Qingqing Zhang, my English name is Tiffany. As an international graduate student of Parks, recreation & Tourism department in University of Utah, I have enthusiasm for traveling abroad and having new experiences in different culture and sightseeing. The biggest difference between United States and my hometown China is environment. The weather in China is getting worse these days. The recent news showed
that Air was heavily polluted in some area of China. How
to deal with climate change is a big issue in China. This project tried to find
the main courses of the climate change and combine the
low-carbon tourism and environment protection together, and give several suggestions. Meanwhile related
to climate change, show what we can do for the air pollution in China.

Personal Statement
I'm the first-year graduate student, majored in Parks. Recreation and Tourism in the University of Utah.
I served as president of Shanghai Normal University Student Union during my junior and senior years in college while maintaining GPA 3.35. In the past two years I was awarded the first-class scholarship twice. Under the guidance of Mr. Liu Chunji, Chair of Tourism Management Department at College of Finance of SHNU, my undergraduate thesis "The Consumption of Low-carbon Tourism of Shanghai College Students" was published in the journal of Jiangsu Commercial Forum.
In August 2011 I was offered an opportunity to intern at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa. This seven-month internship has been really an eye opener for me. Not only have I been able to improve my English oral and written communication skills in a real world environment, but also I have learned so much about customer service, American values, and aloha spirits. My passion to travel and tourism industry has been intensely instigated through my interaction with guests and my associates.
I’d love to take part in different volunteer activities. After participating Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix 2009, World Expo 2010, being the liaison officer of World Swimming Championships, I learn how to communicate with different people from different occupational area, different background, even different nationality. These volunteer experiences broadened my vision and arouse my enthusiasm of helping others, which also gave me a great sense of inner- peace.
In August, 2012, I enrolled by Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department in University of Utah. I have taken some courses like leisure study, interpreting research and electronic marketing. I learned most from E-marketing, Dr. Linda Ralston gave some lessons about how to use flash, photoshop, Dreamweaver, and that's why I'm interested in social media in hospitality field, I have my own blog in weebly.
