Air pollution makes a lot of Chinese wear the facial mask.
Due to the climate change and pollution issues in China, more and more Chinese wear the facial masks these days, even some Chinese wear gas masks. Air pollution, such as smog, sandstorm, increasing harmful particles in the air, makes many residents wearing different kinds of masks to protect themselves. The weather issues affect the daily life of Chinese.
According to the Climate Change & China: Technology, Market and Beyond, it states that China has already overtaken the US as the world’s largest CO2 emitter. Since China is the biggest developing country, how could it develop stably, but also decrease the environment pollution? This big issue is paid attention by Chinese government, and they try to reduce the already-felt impact of climate change in China, and improve the resident's living environment.
But there is no doubt that the air pollution in China's major cities is among the worst in the world. Although there are many natural resources in China, but less water resources and poor water suppliers make weather worse.
There are some suggestions about how to protect the environment in China as follow:
